At nine o'clock on Saturday morning, Ling Hanlu was still sound asleep. Suddenly, music and vibration from her pillow disturbed her sleep.

　　"Ling, haven't you gotten up yet?" On the phone, Xu Shuping called Ling Hanlu and asked her little boy to come over, "Second Treasure, can you remind Auntie Ling what she needs to do this morning?" She whispered, "Your mom just taught you..."

　　"Bake a cake!" The little boy shouted in his sweet voice and then ran away.

　　"Okay, okay, got it..." Ling Hanlu was hesitating with her eyes closed, but Xu Shuping immediately saw through her insincere attitude.

　　"Are you going to force me to come to your house? Just have some pity on me, an old mother taking care of two kids..." Xu Shuping Said.

　　“All right！ All right! I will get up as fast as I can! ” Ling said to her.

　　Ling Hanlu's body was still, with one foot hanging down and swinging back and forth. She tried to increase the radius of the circle by tightening her foot arch and curling her toes, but still couldn't reach her slippers. She remembered staying up late the night before to translate and organize documents, only finishing in the early hours of the morning. After a dizzying shower, she stumbled out, swaying and naked, and collapsed onto the bed without bothering to wrap herself in a robe. Her slippers, much like her robe, were nowhere to be found.

　　After living alone, Ling Hanlu found herself working more often than not during weekends, except for a few social activities. Unlike XU Shuping, she didn't have a house full of chores to tend to such as cooking, cleaning, and taking care of children. Ling Hanlu also didn't have the opportunity to get back pain from teaching her just-turned-one-year-old child how to walk. She had to rely on her work, which caused her to develop cervical spondylosis, to try and bridge the gap between her and the simple happiness of life.

　　"Have you finished washing up?" XU Shuping hadn't hung up the phone yet, so Ling Hanlu was forced to put her phone on speaker and take it into the bathroom to continue the conversation.

　　“All right! all right ! ”

　　Xu Shuping confirmed that Ling Hanlu had finished breakfast, and then began to nag: "I'm not saying this to criticize you, but you should do more of the things that human need to be done! Have you bought the ingredients? Cheese, sea salt, low-gluten flour, butter...I asked you to buy them yesterday!"

　　“All bought!”

　　“So turn on your camera ,and I will supervise you while you do it. I’ve sent you the instructional video ,and I don’t believe someone as intelligent as you can’t do this......It's all about the quality of life, you know ? The quality of life ! ”

　　Ling Hanlu followed the steps in the video and successfully progressed from separating the egg whites to putting the cake in the oven. As she held up the tray of tender and juicy baked cheesecake to the camera, it was almost noon.

　　"Not bad, you have talent. Hurry up and find someone to share it with!" said Xu Shuping.

　　Ling Hanlu could tell that Xu Shuping let out a sigh before hanging up.

　　"She held the long serrated knife that Xu Shuping had instructed her to buy, but she couldn't bring herself to use it. Thinking back on the keywords that had been exchanged between her and Xu Shuping since nine o'clock in the morning, she realized that "share" and "hurry up" were the words that had caught her attention the most.

　　"Hurry up." She hadn't been urged to do anything in a long time, especially when it came to trivial matters in life. It seemed that nothing was enough to motivate her to focus on her goals."

　　Originally, the visible future was the scariest thing for her, and those who, like her, believed that mediocrity meant drowning and that life without a legendary story was a waste. However, now, she is dragged into the abyss by a sudden blow near middle age, like an inaudible earthquake that almost destroys her inner world... The ordinary things she once looked down upon have now become luxuries.

　　"Sharing." Ling Hanlu searched in her mind. She scoured through all the people who were within the "delivery" range and had appropriate relationships with each other, young and old alike. In the end, she settled on a refined and elegant small room in the community center. Even though she knew that what Xu Shuping called "sharing" did not mean this, she still hoped to create a shared space for everyone to enjoy.

　　Ling Hanlu slowly descended the corner stairs on the second floor of the community center. As she walked, she murmured to herself, "Did I remember it wrong? Is it already time to get off work? It's only just past 11 o'clock. Or maybe the company changed the weekend rest policy?"

　　In her hands, the paper box was still warm. The rich aroma of milk wafted out, causing her, as the creator, to daydream. The dominant sweet fragrance spread all the way out, also attracting the person who was slowly walking towards her.

　　With his hands in his pockets and his gaze straight ahead, he tried his best to conceal the rolling in his throat caused by the strong smell. Ling Hanlu held her proud creation, which was a success on her first try, with both hands and walked carefully, not daring to be careless. However, sometimes the more she feared making mistakes, the more actively she approached the challenge, and she ended up stepping on the last step of the stairs and falling.

　　Driven by a sense of responsibility, she knelt down on her left knee, but the precious treasure in her hand remained undamaged. She thought that she could suppress the scream of surprise and nobody would notice the unexpected accident. However, a passerby who rushed over to help from behind made Ling Hanlu, who hadn't blushed in a long time, turn crimson.

　　A young voice, accompanied by the scent of laundry detergent on his clothes, brought over the dessert box that was "stolen". Ling Hanlu stood up quickly and dusted off her knees. Looking up, she saw a young man in a white T-shirt standing respectfully. Obviously, he recognized Ling Hanlu before she recognized him.

　　The young man smiled lightly as he returned the cake box to its owner. However, this time he seemed not to intend to linger too long for the "good deed". One of his feet was already on the step.

　　Meeting the young man again, Ling Hanlu was overjoyed. It seemed that the heavens had been looking after her as she was unable to express her gratitude to him the last time in the drink shop. She saw that the young man had the intention to go upstairs, so she suppressed the urge to ask him "How come it's you?" or "What are you doing here?". So she told the young man that if he came specifically to visit the doctor at the "Mind Oxygen Bar", he should come back another day!

　　"What's up?" The young man was puzzled.

　　"I checked and the doctor is not here. Are you...are you here for a consultation?"

　　"Yes, I'd like to talk to the doctor."

　　"Oh... for a consultation, this time of day is a bit awkward. You probably didn't make an appointment, did you?"

　　"No, I didn't. I will make an appointment for next time."

　　"Okay, go back then!"

　　The two of them walked side by side, strolling slowly from the staircase toward the outside of the community center. Within three minutes, Ling Hanlu learned that the young man's rented house was located at the opposite end of the community from her own. There was a small door that made it convenient for him to go to school. Additionally, during their limited interaction, they had a gentle back-and-forth about the ownership of the cake, but the young man ultimately refused to take it.

　　Ling Hanlu couldn't convince the young man, so they both went their separate ways back home. However, this clean-smelling and quiet child surprisingly followed her without any resistance, walking step by step in the opposite direction of his own home.

　　Ling Hanlu noticed that the young man's hands in his pockets were just as well-behaved as his footsteps. She deliberately cleared her throat a couple of times to remind him of his home, but he seemed to be lost in thought, making him feel both close and difficult to understand.

　　"Hey, little kid, aren't you going home?" Ling Hanlu couldn't help but call out to him.

　　"Oh, ah?" The young man hesitated for a moment and then immediately stood still. He looked around blankly at the unfamiliar greenery and buildings.

　　"Hehe, is there no one else at home? I mean, is no one waiting for you to have lunch?"

　　"No, oh, sorry, I'll go back right away!" The young man turned around.

　　"That's not what I meant!" Ling Hanlu was worried that she didn't express herself clearly. "Since you've followed me all the way here, why don't you come to my house for a bit? The food I make is just okay, but it's edible. Don't be picky!"

　　The young man took his hands out of his pockets and placed them behind his head. He looked shocked, even though he couldn't see his own expression. From Ling Hanlu's feedback, he must have behaved quite rudely. The sudden shift in their relationship made him feel unfamiliar, but also quite curious.

　　He shook his head, but his decision to leave was not firm.
